Philip Turton "The Surveyor General Inn C1890"

Established in the 1830's, Berrima is recognised as one of Australia's best preserved examples of a Georgian village. Today's visitor to Berrima can experience the quiet charm and romance of a village rich in social history as well as in early sandstone buildings.

The Court House, museum, gallery, antique shops, boutiques, fine restaurants and cafés and outdoor pursuits are here to visit and explore.

The Southern Highlands is a recognised cool climate wine region with Berrima at its centre. Ten wineries are within a 15 minute drive from the village.

Adjoining towns and other tourist attractions are all accessible only minutes away by car from Berrima.

Ashrowan is a perfect base from which to explore all that the Southern Highlands has to offer.
